Every woman carries a wise voice within her.

Sometimes we call it intuition. Sometimes ancestor wisdom. Sometimes the inner guide.

Do you remember when you heard your inner voice speak and the wisdom she shared?

Join me in my new learning series with @jkb.journal, She Who Remembers, to remember our way back to that inner-knowing. Together, we’ll explore each phase of a woman’s life and the herbs that support us along the way.

Mention “wise” in the comments and we’ll dm you the link to join!

Rose has always felt to me like one of the great teachers for women. She opens the heart so gently, invites us into beauty and tenderness, and yet… she grows thorns. Such an important teaching for us, especially as women. We can be loving and openhearted while still honoring our boundaries and protecting what is precious within us.

I think Rose is an especially beautiful ally for young women as they begin learning the rhythms of their bodies and discovering their own inner wisdom. But truly, she walks beside us through every season of life.

So many of us were taught to give endlessly without learning how to care for ourselves with that same devotion. The plants remind us otherwise. They teach balance. They teach listening. They teach us how to stay rooted in ourselves.

In She Who Remembers, @jkb.journal and I spend time with these teachings through the lens of a woman’s changing seasons, the Moon cycles, and the plants that accompany us along the way.

We would love to have you join us for this journey. 🌹 Tap the link in my bio @rosemarygladstar to join.

Over the years, I’ve seen again and again how the body responds when it’s truly nourished and cared for.

These are simple yet powerful guidelines.
They’re not complicated, but they bring us back to what matters: nourishment, rest, balance, and our relationship with the plants.

You don’t have to do everything at once.
Start where you are. Let it be enough.

If you’d like to begin with a nourishing herbal tonic, comment “tonic” and we’ll share a favorite blend with you.

This is at the heart of our new learning series She Who Remembers—
returning to the kind of wisdom that has always been passed from one woman to another. 🌿

Join me and @jkb.journal now for our early bird registration—we begin May 28!

Many years ago, in an early women’s herbal gathering, my dear friend and fellow herbalist Jeannine Parvati Baker offered a workshop on what she called “moon time.”

She spoke very little during those hours together. Instead, she invited the women to sit in a circle and passed a simple speaking stick from hand to hand, so that each woman could share, without interruption, the story of her first moon cycle.

There were many women in that circle.

As the stories were spoken, something began to unfold that I have never forgotten. What had so often been held quietly—sometimes with confusion, sometimes with shame, sometimes with a sense of wonder—was given voice and received with care.

There was laughter, and there were tears.

There was a deep sense of recognition moving through the circle.

And with it, a kind of remembering.

It was a powerful reminder to me of how much the body already knows, and how rarely we are given the space to listen, or to share these stories with one another.

So many women move through their lives carrying these experiences without ever being truly heard.

And yet, that wisdom is still there.

The plants have always been our companions in this remembering, growing alongside us, offering their quiet support as we find our way back to ourselves.

We’ve gathered a series of conversations around the changing seasons of a woman’s life, which we’ve come to think of as 𝙎𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨.

In these conversations, I’m joined by herbalist Jess Bergeron (@jkb.journal), whose life as a younger mother brings a living, present-day perspective to these reflections.

It feels like such a gift to be able to share this with you.

If you feel called to listen more closely, and to return to your own rhythms in your own time, you are warmly invited to join us.

If it would be helpful, you can simply write “remember” in the comments, and we’ll gently send along the link to learn more.

It is such an honor to introduce you to Kathi Keville, an internationally respected herbalist and aromatherapist whose work has helped shape the modern practice of botanical healing, and who also just happens to be one of my dearest friends. Kathi has written over 15 books on the subjects of herbs, gardening and aromatherapy and is the co-author on the definitive text Aromatherapy, A Complete Guide to the Healing Art. As Director of the American Herb Association since its founding and a founding member of the American Herbalists Guild, she has been a guiding force in the field for decades.

But beyond her impressive accomplishments, Kathi is someone I’m proud to call a dear friend, generous with her knowledge, deeply intuitive, and endlessly passionate about the healing power of plants. Her work has touched countless lives, and her presence continues to inspire all of us who are fortunate enough to know her. Through her decades of work, teaching, and writing, Kathi has played a pivotal role in advancing the understanding and use of medicinal plants and essential oils worldwide. She is also, to me, a dear friend, someone whose wisdom, warmth, and deep connection to the natural world continue to inspire everyone around her.

We’re delighted to have Kathi teach on Essential Oils & Aromatic Herbs for herbalists…and even better, this is a free class!

If the world seems like too much…too much pain, too much heartache, too much loss…remember that our sweet Mother Earth is still holding us. Spring has arrived. The plants still offer us medicine. The world is still full of beauty and joy…even when we have to work a little harder to see it.

Invite a friend over, make a pot of Chamomile tea, and read a few excerpts from my book “The Generosity of Plants.” May it soothe your heart and feed your soul.

And if that doesn’t help, do as the kids like to say these days…go touch grass (just learned this phrase!) 🌷🌸🪻🐣

P.S. If you don’t have “The Generosity of Plants”, you can order it at the link in my bio @rosemarygladstar
